The "Jerusalem Knight's Choir" in tournée in Switzerland with an Israeli and a Swiss choir

Chur, St. Gallen, Bern, Basel, Zurich, August 19–23, 2026 – The Jerusalem Knight's Choir is touring Switzerland with the wonderful initiative "Winds of Change"—"A Palestinian-Israeli Come Together"—which brings together three choirs (Palestinian, Israeli, and Swiss) to sing as one, sharing their repertoires. The "Winds of Change" choir is conducted in rotation by the three conductors, including Hani Kreitem—director of the Jerusalem Knight's Choir— trained, as most of the Knight's Choir members, by Armando Pierucci and Hania Souddah Sabbara at the Magnificat Institute in Jerusalem (a school open to teachers and students of all backgrounds) and, later, as regard Hani, at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance; Lily Solomonov, Maayan Bar-Sever and Lilach Krakauer are the directors of the Ensemble Sonora in Tel Aviv; and Maayan Baram of the Swiss choir choR inteR kultuR.

The Laus Plena Foundation is helping to cover the Knight's Choir's travel expenses with a small contribution.

WIND OF CHANGE – Concert by the choR inteR kultuR choir

In the WIND OF CHANGE project, young people from Israel and East Jerusalem (Palestine) join the Swiss choir choR inteR kultuR for a joint choral retreat in a remote mountain village in the Grisons. There, they collaborate to create a concert program. They sing of pain and suffering, but also of hope. Through this initiative, they aim to give a voice to the many people who, in a Middle East thorn by conflict, long for coexistence based on equality.

Performers:

choR inteR kultuR (Switzerland) – Conductor: Maayan Baram

Jerusalem Knights Choir (East Jerusalem) – Conductor: Hani Kreitem
