Rovigo, 15-17 October 2024 - Raffaele Deluca, professor of musicological disciplines and scientific director of the Library of the Rovigo Conservatory of Music, welcomed the Syriac researcher P. Gajuo at the Rovigo Conservatory for an accelerated course in the digitization of musical manuscripts. This is linked to the intention to consider specific metadata in musical manuscripts of a liturgical nature, which would allow for comparative studies between the various Christian traditions.
Athens - 1-5 July 2024 - The Department of Music Studies, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, will organise an International Conference on Byzantine Musicology, in memoriam of the Associate Professor of Byzantine Musicology Dimitrios Balageorgos, who passed away on June 2nd , 2023. Prof. Dimitiros Balageorgos collaborated with the Laus Plena Foundation. Several members of the Laus Plena Foundation Board plan to attend the Conference.
