CDs and other publications

The Laus Plena Foundation produces CDs (or possibly musical videos) under its label, or "Laus Plena" Collection, in order to document, publicize and disseminate the sacred music that falls within its scope of activity. Most of the recordings are made in the context of concert performance and not in the liturgical context, in order to obtain better recordings. However, one of the fundamental purposes of the Foundation remains the documentation of liturgical uses, especially where they are in the process of impoverishment or disappearance. This type of recording, which inevitably reflects the spontaneity of the Congregation's performance, is part of an activity of archiving and cataloguing that normally does not make the object of CD production. Rather, these liturgical uses, if interesting, could lead to a concert performance, which could then make the object of CD production.

For the production of CDs (or musical videos), the Foundation relies on qualified sound technicians (e.g. sound engineers, professionals from Swiss radio and television, etc.). All CDs of the Foundation are registered with SUISA (Società Svizzera Cooperativa degli autori ed editori di musica - https://www.suisa.ch/it/). SUISA is the main copyright management company in Switzerland, and operates as a non-profit cooperative, which authors and music publishers can join. Unlike S.I.A.E., it also manages the related rights of performing artists. The Foundation is also affiliated with GS1, which provides for the authorization of GTIN numbers and EAN codes (barcodes) for the Foundation's CDs (https://www.gs1.ch/en). Each track of each CD produced by the Foundation has its own GTIN number. Copies of the CDs are sent to SUISA.

The Foundation also produces musical scores or books, articles or other publications printed under its "Edizioni Laus Plena", referring to the aims and activities of the Foundation. The Foundation intends to affiliate with SUISA as a Music Publisher. For non-Musical publications, the Foundation contacts the competent Swiss Authorities to announce the publication and obtain the relevant ISIN number. A copy of the non-musical publication is sent to the Swiss National Library.

The Foundation may proceed with the production of other materials within its scope of activity.

The Foundation is not currently equipped to sell CDs, musical scores or other products on its website or otherwise. The CDs it produces are generally donated in certain quantities to the communities they serve, and the musical scores are donated to interested musicians and performers. Anyone interested in receiving a copy of the CDs, musical scores or other publications can write to the Foundation. An offering that at least cover the expenses is always welcome from those who receive benefits from the Foundation. All donations are obviously reinvested in the activities of the Foundation.
